It is the mission of the Benson Junior Football Assoc. (Benson Bruins) to provide a fundamental foundation of football and Cheerleading to young athletes in the City of Renton and the surrounding community.
The Benson Bruins Football and Cheer programs promote positive youth development, addresses the importance of proper technique, skill development, teamwork, health, safety, and good sportsmanship.
More importantly, we take pride in providing each athlete the ability to develop their skills and create the opportunities needed to succeed in sports and in life. Our staff is composed of skilled, dedicated volunteers that consistently demonstrate care and interest in the success of our kids on the field and off.
The Board of Directors believes that although winning a trophy is a great feeling, it is not the only reason we volunteer. Proof of real success is not in wood and metal; it's in the hearts and the confidence in the eyes of our athletes.
The Benson Bruins started in 1977 in the Benson Hill area of unincorporated King County. The Benson organization has a long standing tradition of pride, commitment, talent, leadership, and values. Each year 100's of young athletes in Renton and the surrounding communities participate in our youth football and cheer programs. Every effort is made to teach all the athletes the fundamentals of the sports of football and cheer in a safe environment that helps them to learn and grow.
Benson Junior Football is a non-profit youth football league staffed by hard working, committed and caring volunteers. Each year over 5000 hours go into planning, preparing, and practicing so that each young athlete can have a great experience. Many members of the Board of Directors and volunteer staff have more then 10 years of experience with the club. We are always seeking new volunteers with new ideas on how to move the league forward and to continue our legacy of quality, commitment, and leadership.
